As regards your other supplements, usually it is advised to take them 4 hours apart from levothyroxine, except iron which I believe should have a longer gap. Some things can interfere with the uptake of levo. wombatty in reply to shaws 7 years ago. Thank you for the link.

allergyqueen 1 May 2019 It is likely you experienced hives as a result of taking levothyroxine which likely was due to the povidone in the drugs inert chemicals. This is the iodine that someone listed but didn't recognize as such. That being said most allergists argue that there is not a correlation between iodine and shellfish.

Do not like down for 30 minutes after taking levothyroxine to prevent esophageal irritation. I would say 1 hour interval would be better. To be precise, if you take your breakfast at 7am, you can take Levathroxine at 5:30am and then take the other meds at 6:30am. Levothyroxine should never be taken with other medication as the other medications will stop it from working.

Also called vitamin B7, most over-the-counter supplements contain high doses from 5,000 to 100,000 micrograms. However, 30 micrograms is considered adequate. Luckily, biotin is water-soluble, so the likelihood of overdosing is extremely low. You would need a sustained 200,000 micrograms to produce symptoms of toxicity.
