Information about how quickly a medication starts to work is easily available by reading the product label, visiting the manufacturer’s website, or by talking to your veterinarian.

Clinical field studies showed that monthly use of Revolution provided more than 90 percent control of flea infestations within 30 days of the application. However, if there are fleas in your carpet, bedding or outside, they will still jump on kitty until the flea cycle is complete.

Flea pills work very quickly, beginning in as little as 30 minutes. Currently, there are no oral medications that kill ticks. Powders and Sprays: Spray-on as well as powder form flea and tick treatments are applied directly to your pet and then massaged into the fur on the entire body.

It usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes for most flea medicine to dry, but the results are usually long-lasting. Using Flea medicine is the easiest and most reliable way to eradicate fleas and ticks from your pet’s fur and body.

The majority of flea products eliminate adult fleas and stop them laying eggs, but none work immediately. In reality most take around 8-24 hours to kill each flea that gets on your animal. Unlike numerous parasites, most fleas reside in the environment, not on your animal.

Frontline Plus is the most effective, fast-acting, and easy-to-use medication available to kill ticks and fleas in dogs and cats. However, the main question is; how long does Frontline Plus take to work? Is it worth buying? Frontline Plus can get rid of all fleas within 12 hours along with all lice and ticks within 48 hours.

You can also consider giving your cat a flea bath before applying Frontline. It can take up to 48 hours or two days for Frontline or other flea medicine to become dry and fully absorbed by your pet’s body. Do not touch the area where you applied Frontline. You also cannot bathe your pet within that period.

Spinosad works quickly to kill fleas and to prevent future life cycles, and it lasts a full 30 days. Nitenpyram, conversely, only kills adult fleas and will not prevent future infestations.

It begins working within 12 hours and kills fleas on contact. It can also prevent them from jumping back on your cat for a short period. It breaks the flea lifecycle, so you have to treat them less. This formula is entirely waterproof and continues to work for up to four weeks.
