Shirley, it usually takes about an hour for my meds to kick in, and they wear off about an hour before the next one is due. It’s very frustrating for me, so I can appreciate what your husband goes through. I looked into medical cannabis mainly for this reason — I need something to help me get from one dose to the next.

Sometimes it's just a matter of time before your thyroid medication kicks in. The average length of time it takes for most people to notice a difference is around 6 weeks. But that is just the average.

A majority of Adderall users will notice the medication working right away – or within 20 to 60 minutes of administration. I am on Altace 5mg. How long after I start should I see a change in blood pressure? I have taken this for 10 days and my BP reading still is in the range of 140/96 so not sure how long before asking the Dr to change medicine? Thanks - Was the 140/96 blood pressure an average of many readings, or just one reading? Ace
