Leafpool broke two codes from Hollyleaf’s precious Warrior Code. Medicine cats can’t have kits! She had kits. Cats don’t have mates from another clan! We established that Crowfeather is the father. If she hadn’t fallen for Crow, She might’ve saved Cinderpelt and she wouldn’t have had kits. Lionblaze, Jayfeather and Hollyleaf wouldn ...

Leafpool tells her that she will not, she needs to have kits and serve her Clan. Squirrelflight suggests that Brightheart can be the medicine cat, but Leafpool does not accept this idea, telling Squirrelflight that ThunderClan needs her, not Brightheart. Squirrelflight says that she doesn't have much choice right now, but everything will be okay.

Was Crowfeather. Never again will be Crowfeather. Crowfeather was, but now they hate each other because Crowfeather and Leafpool split and Leafpool had kits. So no one.

-Despite knowing what she had done, she believed Hollyleaf would sympathizes her, even though she did not at all deserve her kits and mate, when she came back to Thunderclan. Conclusion: Leafpool cannot have kits and a mate while being medicine cat at the same time, she doesn't deserve it.

Later, Redpool tells Mousekit and Bramblekit that Tanglefrost and Darkfang are their parents, and Applepelt tells Leafkit and Blackkit the story of their parent's treachery. When the four kits were six moons, Blackkit told Leafkit she wanted to be a medicine cat. Leafkit begged her not to, but she did it anyway. Leafpaw had a normal apprenticeship.

Jayfeather is now ThunderClan's head medicine cat with the death of Leafpool and remains just as grouchy. He chastises his grandniece, Bristlepaw when she insults StarClan but is stopped by Bramblestar. Jayfeather is also mentioned as a "codebreaker" by a StarClan spirit to Shadowsight, along with several other cats. When Bramblestar dies, Jayfeather is heartbroken and blames Squirrelflight for trying Shadowpaw's unusual method to cure him, but is relieved when his adopted father suddenly ...

Leafpool looked up at the other medicine cat, who, despite being younger, was a bit taller. Mothwing could see that she was on the verge of tears. Leafpool moved closer, burying her face in the fur on Mothwing's chest. Mothwing felt her pelt heat up a bit from the contact, but Leafpool didn't seem to notice.

Integrating a new cat is a lot of work! It takes care and consideration to introduce a new cat to an existing cat. The natural social habits of most cats do not include associating with cats from outside the family group except for mating, so special measures and attention are needed for the best chance for a good outcome.
